Darrell grew up in Evansville, Indiana, and then moved to Andale, KS and has been in the Wichita area ever since. Darrell was educated in accounting at Wichita State University. He began his career at Cessna Aircraft Company in the accounting department. He started doing tax preparation for family and friends which included many farmers. He became the owner of Darrel J. Chew and Company in 1975. He is very familiar with individual and corporate taxation, has a broad background and many years of experience in farm returns, as well as Estate & Trust returns. He finds the interaction with people to be the most rewarding aspect of his job. He also finds joy in helping others understand their accounting and taxes.
He was pleased when Tina decided to join the practice. Being a family man, he enjoys working with her on a daily basis, passing his love of accounting and taxes to his daughter. With his many years of experience and Tina’s affinity for technology, it makes for a great team. Since many of our clients are also families, they appreciate the family atmosphere.
